I created these for my movie poster to make sure that it was not too plain and looked professional. I don't know if I will use these yet as I need to know what my proper layout is with the picture behind. I will decide then which ones I will use.
I had to make sure that it was the right date '2015' because if it was in past years you could tell they are not real.

Organisation

For the trailer because there is not much talking, there is only talking from the main character of the girl she says things at the start, a couple of words through out and does noises such as heavy breathing and her reactions. Therefore for the rest of the trailer there needs to be some effective sounds making sure that the trailer seems scary.

For the start of the trailer there is going to be three 911 calls, showing how the girl has been calling about stalker incidences in the past. As there is no sounds for this on the computer me and Caitlin are going to need to research to get them and download.

I have been putting some different effects on different photos to see which ones could be potential for my media ancillary products. I am going through my decisions of having the stalker in the background being blurred. Showing the story line and how hes not actually there. As I have taken loads more photos I will put effects on each of them to see what ones look best and which are the best I can use. Also if I do not feel happy with the end result I will take more photos.

These are potential photos for my magazine and poster. For these photos to work there would need to be effects added to them for them to suit, doing this there would need to be a darker lighting for the photo. For the magazine I would need to do some different editing for it to look like its the same as a Little White Lies magazine. 

Organisation

Before filming me and Caitlin took photos of what the characters look like with their make-up, clothing, hair and style to show what they will look like in the trailer. These were test shots before the real thing for our magazine and film posters.

Me and Caitlin have had a new idea for our film trailer. At the start instead of going straight into the filming after the establishing shot we have done something different. There is going to be a black screen with a type writing kind of font clicking through with text. There will be a number of calls that you will hear to the police saying how the girl is saying she is being stalked. This links in with the other call that goes later on in the trailer showing how there's been more than one occasion where she thinks she's being stalked. This has been inspired from watching the end of 'The Call' trailer.

In this film trailer I thought that the last bit could be used for our movie trailer and me and Caitlin are going to do something like it. We like how the voice over of the '911 emergency how can I help' was very effective as you could have a clear knowledge of knowing what is going on. If we did this it would bring the trailer together as you can see how there would be many calls to the police about a stalker. This would make people have an understanding of whats going on.

Organisation

For our trailer me and Caitlin have had to change one of the main characters due to the filming schedule. This means that I will have to change my poster layouts as the character that needs to be changed the name from Ryan Coyne to Samuel Barnacle. 

Target Audience

Like I said I was going to find out from my target audience which they thought was better - where I should place the title of my magazine. The response was that I should do the first one as you can see it clearer than the second one. I agree with this as I think under the eye area is where it is the lightest, however I think I could move it down a little to be more there. At the moment the first one is right under the eye. As you can compare from the first and second picture it does take some effect from the picture and how the woman looks drained. This means that I will try to go forward and lower the writing a little but not a lot. I am not going to change the colour and where the placing is dramatically as it means that it might not look like a proper magazine which is what my audience thinks it looks like.

I have made a different layout to what my poster is going to be like, I have changed some of the fonts to make it better. For the 'From the Director of Buried Below' and 'The Paranoia will Kill You' are the same writing. I chose the writing because its like the title writing but a little different. I like how at the end with the words 'Kill You' and 'Buried Below' they are bolder that the others as it makes them stand out more  and makes them link together. I think to improve this I would need to make the writing smaller for it to be better. I do am still unsure about if I should add more stuff to it. Also I am not sure as to where to put the characters names as I don't know where they would look best.

As I liked this effect best I tried to work with it seeing which colour and placing of the title is better. I think that if I was to have a white colour title it wouldn't fit with the genre theme as much as it would with the black colour font. This means that for my final magazine I am going to be using the black font meaning that I need to decide where the best placing is on it. I need to ask my target audience what they think so I am able to meet what they want to be a success.

In the past post I said that the third effect was best because of all the detail that was shown I tried to find a 'Little White Lies' magazine that did the same. With this effect you can see all the detail such as the wrinkles on around the eyes and on the forehead. Its also a dark photo which makes it effective for a horror genre theme. There are thinks that I do not like with this photo though, even though its at a dark brightness and has lots of detail its not at good quality. This picture looks like it is meant to look as a painting / drawing, and it is blurry in some places. However with my magazine cover I wouldn't want it to be blurry like my favorite effect I would like everything on there to be clear.

I have got a picture that I want to use that is similar to what I want to use for my final piece. I have made different effects for this picture to see what ones look best and have ideas of which ones i'd most likely use. The two ones that I prefer is the third effect and the second one. The third one is my favorite because you can see all of the detail of the photo as it is not blurred out. You are able to see that dark areas such as under her eyes and at the finger nails, which is what I wanted to have in my magazine. I like how you can see all the freckles and wrinkles on the hands and head. The eyes stand out fully as the effect makes them more green and you just focus on the detail around it. This is what I would aim to do for my magazine. 

Research into similar products

Because me and Caitlin are doing the magazine 'Little White Lies' We figured that every single issue they make it cartoon or edited in some way. This means that we will have to do something similar to what they do. I like the effect on this magazine however I do not think I would be able to do something like this because of the colour scheme. This is a bright picture and wouldn't fit my genre with horror as it wouldn't fit together. I would need to make the picture darker for it to be frightening. I like how the picture looks like its drawn and would consider doing this for my piece.

Target Audience

I tweeted asking questions about what covers better, the font, the colour and the title. I had a response that shows how they think the third photo is better. I agree that I want 'The Tormented Issue' because I think just having Tormented it looks boring and very spacious which doesn't look professional. However having 'Issue' on the end makes the magazine look more professional as it's like they are a popular magazine fitting in. I might have to change it and make the tormented bolder to show that the films just called tormented and not the tormented.
The only thing that I am not to sure on is the colour of the font. As it's not done properly there's a white border around the black which is not making it look as bold as it could. So therefore I am unsure about the black and white because I think the black would make the picture look more darker.

I have changed the effect from the first photo that I originally posted to make sure that it looks more scary so it fits in with the genre making it look more scary.

I have drafted my own magazine cover with what I want to do however not using my own photo. I have used a different title, text colour and text font with what I want to do. I made 4 so i know exact what I need to do for my final one so I wont have to change it loads.

This is the type of photo I want to use for my magazine, I think this photo is effective because you can see the fear from the girl with the mouth over showing how it's related to a horror movie.
I would like to add to this how I want the nails to look dirty.
The girl in this photo has very bright eyes however the girl that I am using does not so I will be using bright contacts. This will make her eyes stand out meaning that the make up will have to be good surrounding it. We will have to use make up to make the girl look drained/weird because this relates to the film as shes not taking her medication.

Me and Caitlin have started to film the trailer with the filming on her camera. We have completed the first section of the film however think that the quality of the filming is not as high as we wanted it to be. Therefore we will still post the videos for evidence however not use them for our final trailer. We we use them for draft to make sure that all of our editing is right.

Me and Caitlin have made a make up tutorial on how we want our make up to look like for the film and mainly the poster, the make up will try and show how he girl looks drained on the eyes and have very pale skin. It's going to try and make the girl look like she has something wrong with her, this is because the girl has stop taking her pills so this explains it.
