Director - Mike Flanagan
Genre - Horror
Plot - A brother and sister try to prove their parents' murders were the act of a sinister supernatural force
Shot - this is a close up shot showing the main characters face. It shows clearly how there are hands covering her eyes showing how it's relating to the quote 'you see what it wants you to see' so you get an idea of why the hands are there and how it is not just random.
Colour - the colours are this are very normal nothing too bright or too dull, this shows how the main characters are just ordinary and how there isn't no monsters, it isn't that type of horror. The clue of all the other writing is plain white so you are just able to see it from the background. It is a very plain teaser poster however it's effective how then all the focus is on the hands.
Lighting - there is brighter lightening used on the outside of her face where the hands are drawing attention to them where in other places like her neck and head there is quite shadowy lighting showing how the hands are the most important thing.
Conventions-
-Film title is in bold from everything else making that be the main thing you look at to do with the writing
-Includes at the top 'the producer of paranormal activity and insidious' making the audience know what te of film it is and with the other two having good success trying to promote this film
-Having the quote 'You see what it wants you to see' relating to the picture so people don't get confused wanting the audience to go and watch the trailer to find out more
-Plain writing making the picture stand out, no special font
-Having the photo so close up shows how they wanted you to notice the hands on the eyes making it the main focus
