Drafting and Planning

I have to figure out what type of horror movie I am doing, so i will research into them and find out which one I think is most interesting to do.

                                                                                   Action horror
This is a film with intrusion of evil or something to do with supernatural with things like gun fights in etc.. The common things that are included in these films are zombies, demons, vampires and vicious animals. Types of these films are Dawn of the dead or resident evil.

Comedy horror
This combines horror and comedy together, its where there is still killing and murders just like action however they do it in a funny way. Examples of this is Scary movie and Shaun of the dead.

Slasher horror
These types of horrors normal involve a lot of violence in it to do with a serial killer or psychopathic. Maybe a stalker going on a spree and killing loads of victims for no reason. There is usually a great deal of weapons in these movies not just fist fighting like action would be. They are used for mystery and suspense which is what i would like to include in my teaser trailer. Examples of this are Prom night and Psycho.

Physiological horror
Mainly supernatural things that go on like stuff like possession and exorcism. It has a lot to do with the main characters and their belief and fears. There are many examples of these as they are getting more popular. Films like paranormal activity, the ring and exorcist are all part of it.
The two main genres of horror movies that I am interested in is Physiological horror and slasher horror. These I think from what I have researched with mise - en - scene and editing techniques etc. I think that this is the one i would be mos interested in working on and making a good teaser horror trailer. Sometimes they mix like the trailer i analysed had both which is a similar product to which I would want to do.

After looking into all of these types of Horror's I have swayed towards doing Physiological horror as i think you can work with it and have many ideas for different story lines.
